Principle Entertainments....the difference

'With a difference' is a term often applied to business concepts that in reality aren't that different from the rest at all! At Principle Entertainments, being different to the rest is the founding premise on which we are built. We understand that your event/occasion is important to you, whether it's a red carpet occasion for the stars or a family birthday. Whatever your budget our aim is to provide you with the highest quality acts with minimal fuss and maximum professionalism. Here's how it works....

1. ALL of our artists/acts are of the VERY highest standard. Most are working professionals and have dedicated their lives to singing/playing/performing. Many of our musicians have been or are currently playing for major recording artists and all of our acts are equally at home on the big stage or in the cramped corner! For our performers and entertainers, what they do is a passion. Each and every one of them love their work and we know it shows in their performance. We know you will see/hear the difference too.

2. Unlike many agencies, ALL of our acts are known to us personally. What does this mean for you? Well it means that we know exactly how each act will look/sound/perform, assuring that you get exactly what you're after for your occasion. We pride ourselves on maintaining strong working relationships with our performers. Why? Well because we like them and we want to! But also because it naturally brings out the best in everyone and assures us that our acts are as into your occasion as you are.

3. ALL of our acts know how much is being paid to hire them, and what percentage is going to the agency. There are NO hidden mark ups or margins. Again, we want the relationship between our ourselves and our acts to be open and honest.

4. Variety. True variety. We have everything from solo jazz pianists to huge party bands that take up a lot of space and make a lot of noise! From award winning magicians to side splitting comedians and children's entertainers....we have the lot. We also pride ourselves on having some acts that we know you will not find anywhere else.... Cool jazz fusion groups, award winning singer/songwriters, proper heart felt blues bands....if you run a music night at your venue or want to open a club, we have some of the brightest talent in the country on our books. That said....

5. ....we will NEVER claim to have acts for every occasion. The truth is if we don't think we have what you're looking for we will not try to sell you a poor second. There may well be other agencies who will have more acts on their books, but like we said before, all of ours have been properly vetted and are known to us personally. We'd rather have two great acts working for us than two hundred mediocre ones. It doesn't do our reputation any good to send you an act that just won't suit. So rest assured, we don't just plug holes...we aim to MAKE the event.

It all boils down to principles. We came up with our name for a good reason. We want you and our acts to feel like you're getting the best deal possible. So please browse our profiles, call us up and ask us questions. We're here to make your occasion one that everyone who attends will still be talking about in years to come.......

By the way.....We like to look after our acts, and we'd like you to do the same! All of us here on staff have had a lot of experience working in this industry and we know the difference that a few courtesies can make to our performers. So...whilst we will never write it in to our contracts we will encourage you to provide our performers with some light refreshment if possible. Some water for our singers...a little of the buffet food for the hard working musician! These are the little things that send our performers home with a smile on their face saying..'that was a great gig'. Of course we know that at larger events when there are many things going on this isn't always possible. If you can, at the very least, introduce yourself to our performers. Truth is they like to know who they are playing for so they can really feel like part of the event instead of just being an appendage!
